On January 20th 2009 in San Francisco California, Bush Street was unofficially renamed Obama Street.
Timed with the inauguration, "Bush" was changed to "Obama" down the entire length of Bush Street (from Presidio Avenue to Battery Street). All signs were altered with stickers. The most striking example was the last Bush Street sign which reads "END BUSH" that was changed to "BEGIN OBAMA".
