Widely considered to be the "Citizen Kane of bad movies", The Room was released in 2003 and has become a cult classic.
It was written, directed, and produced by Tommy Wiseau who also stars in the film. The financing of The Room has remained a source of intrigue. One explanation is that Wiseau made money in real estate around San Francisco and also ran a business called "Street Fashions USA".
The film has also spawned a curious San Francisco landmark. A 25 foot poster of The Room is permanently installed on the Street Fashions USA headquarters at Fisherman's Wharf where it perplexes tourists and thrills die hard fans.
