Michael Crichton wrote both WESTWORLD and Jurassic Park. The stories bear a remarkable resemblance to one another - replacing genetically-engineered dinosaurs with humanoids. WESTWORLD was released 43 years ago in November 1973. In 1976 the sequel FUTUREWORLD was released. This was followed by a television series in 1980 entitled BEYOND WESTWORLD and a 2016 series WESTWORLD that is currently airing on HBO.
